Thanks so much for the follow and questions Pernotone! I actually sampled the sounds from all over the place. Most were from short snippets in songs. Some of the artists I sampled included Amon Tobin, Disclosure, Phanes, Discovery, Shlohmo, etc. And then from there, I used the instrument & programming to tweak those sounds.
The visuals being displayed were made by my good friend James Simpson. Essentially what I did was really similar to what I did for the sounds. I took snippets from videos he made and mapped them them to each button. And had knobs that could also effect the visuals. So essentially, no they were not live generated, but the way I was cuing them and using effects was live.
